Terms of Service
Last updated: August 29, 2026
Product and acceptance
ParallelCue is a Chrome extension for dual YouTube captions and local caption-based study tools. By installing or using ParallelCue, or purchasing ParallelCue Pro, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the product.
Free and Pro features
Dual-subtitle features are free. ParallelCue Pro is a one-time US$19 digital-software license that unlocks full-video study tools for the lifetime of the ParallelCue Pro product on up to three active devices. No physical goods are sold. “Lifetime” does not include cloud synchronization, future AI usage, third-party paid services, or permanent offline access without periodic license validation.
Requirements and third-party services
You are responsible for a supported Chrome version, a YouTube video with usable captions, and internet access for purchase, activation, and periodic validation. YouTube and Google are independent third parties and may change caption availability or page internals. Paddle acts as merchant of record for payment, tax, receipts, and refunds.
License delivery and devices
After Paddle confirms payment, the checkout-success page displays the license key. Save it with the Paddle receipt. You may activate no more than three devices at the same time. Use Deactivate this device before moving a slot. Do not resell, publish, share, enumerate, or bypass limits on license keys.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse ParallelCue, disrupt its licensing service, access another purchaser's data, reverse engineer payment controls for circumvention, or use the product unlawfully. Normal browser inspection, security research conducted responsibly, and rights granted by applicable law are not prohibited.
Availability and changes
The software is provided as available. We may fix, change, or discontinue features when needed for security, legal compliance, third-party compatibility, or product maintenance. Material changes to these terms will be published here with a revised date.
Warranty and liability
To the extent permitted by law, ParallelCue is provided without warranties of uninterrupted operation or compatibility with every video, language, browser change, or future YouTube interface. Liability arising from a paid license is limited to the amount paid for that license. These limits do not exclude rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
